This is an epiphytic species from moderate elevations in Costa Rica and Panama that has no psuedobulbs. It is a cool to warm growing species that needs full shade and is best grown in a potted mix of coniferous bark, peat, pumice and charcoal. It blooms from August to October with long lived fragrant flowers.
