Scaphosepalum anchoriferum
The Anchor Bearing Scaphosepalum is a small epiphyte from Costa Rica and Panama. It grows in montane rainforests at elevations up to 2000m. It requires full shade, moderate humidity and cool to warm growing conditions, with frequent water during active growth. The inflorescences have few to many flowers that bloom in succession from spring to autumn. The flowers have a violet spotting and curved sepals in opposite directions.
