Restrepia guttulata
The Small Spotted Restrepia is a small to medium sized epiphyte that forms clumps with stems up to 20cm tall. It can be found growing at elevations up to 3000 m in western Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It requires full shade, high humidity and cool to intermediate growing conditions. It can be potted in an epiphyte mix. The flower bloom in succession from an inflorescence that emerges on the reverse side of the base of the leaf. The mostly-fused lateral sepals are spotted in a reddish-pink color and the dorsal sepal is veined in a fuchsia-purple color.
