Pleurothallis hirsuta
The Shaggy Pleurothallis is a miniature to small epiphyte that is found in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras at elevation up to 2400m. It requires frequent watering during active growth, full shade, moderate humidity and intermediate growing conditions. It can be grown in a pot with epiphyte mix, but is best mounted. The inflorescence bears up to 3 flowers that bloom in succession at any time of the year. The sepals are a fuchsia-purple color and have hairs extending outward.
