Phragmipedium schlimii 'Black Dragon'

This terrestrial grows on the forest floor n ear rivers in Colombia at elevations up to 1800m. It is an intermediate grower that requires s hade and high humidity. The erect inflorescences can reach 30 cm in height and bear up to ten flowers each 5 cm in diameter. It blooms primarily in the spring and should be potted in fir bark.
