Masdevallia amabilis
The Lovely Masdevallia is an epiphyte/lithophyte with rhizomes that can be found growing in the montane forests of northern Peru at elevations up to 5300m. It requires generous water during active growth, full sun, moderate to high humidity and cool growing conditions. It can be potted in an epiphyte mix or mounted. The crimson red, purple or white colored flowers bloom in the spring and winter and have fused sepals that form a tube.
