Dracula hirsuta
The Hairy Dracula is a small to medium sized epiphyte with creeping rhizomes that can be found in the wet montane forests of Ecuador. It requires partial shade, high humidity and intermediate growing conditions. It blooms in the spring bearing crme colored sepals that are heavily spotted with red dots. The petals are dark brown and the lip is light pink with a curled edge. Coarse hairs project from the flower.
