Dendrobium farmeri
Farmer's Dendrobium was named after the English Supervisor in Calcutta Botanical Gardens in the 1800's. It is a pendulous and warm growing epiphyte found throughout the Himalayas to Burma and Malaysia in evergreen lowland forests and primary montane forests on tall trees. As such, this species prefers partial shade and lots of water, with a short winter rest. It is a spring bloomer that bears densely flowered inflorescence from leafless and leafed canes.
