Cattleya luteola
This small growing species is found in the Amazon Basin of Brazil, Peru and Ecuador. It has a creeping rhizome that produces 7.5 cm tall pseudobulbs with a cylindrical to ovoid shape. The inflorescence bear up to six flowers about 5 cm in width throughout the year. This species requires intermediate to hot growing conditions and does the best mounted on cork, tree-fern or hardwood slabs.
